Entertainer and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy has urged supporters of the Labour Party (LP), known as “Obidients,” to take to the streets of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in anticipation of today’s judgment by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT).
The controversial singer, using his X (formerly Twitter) handle, emphasized the importance of this action to reclaim what he believes to be their stolen mandate. He declared, “We must recover our stolen future from these wrongdoers or prepare to endure severe hardships.”
Charly Boy had previously expressed skepticism about the broadcast of the judgment in the case brought by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi against President Bola Tinubu’s election victory in the February 25 polls.

He suggested, “The PEPT might not actually air the live verdict on September 6, 2023. The initial announcement could be a ploy to discourage Nigerians from attending the court proceedings on that day.”
