The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), has announced a change in its admission screening process for the 2023/2024 academic session.
In a memo signed by the Registrar, Dr. Mrs. C. N. Nnebedum, UNN has decided to waive the Post-UTME Screening Test that was earlier scheduled to take place from Tuesday, October 03, 2023, to Friday, October 18, 2023.
The decision to forego the Post-UTME Screening Test is based on several considerations, including the prevailing uncertainties and logistical challenges faced by prospective candidates who would have to travel from different parts of the country.

In light of the ongoing challenges, the university’s management has opted for an alternative approach to the admission screening process.
For the 2023/2024 academic session, the UNN will assess candidates based on their verified JAMB UTME results, O’ Level results, and Direct Entry qualifications. This means that there will be no Post-UTME Computer-Based Test (CBT) examination.
However, it is essential to note that candidates must promptly upload their verified O’ Level results at the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) to be considered for admission.
While the Post-UTME Screening Test has been waived, other aspects of the registration process for the screening, including the assessment of O’ Level and Direct Entry results through the UNN portal, will proceed as previously scheduled.
This change in the admission screening process aligns with UNN’s commitment to adapt to the current circumstances and provide prospective students with a fair and accessible application process during these challenging times. Candidates are encouraged to stay updated with the university’s official website for further information and instructions regarding the admission process for the 2023/2024 academic session.
