Traditional Rulers unite to fight insecurity at Uzo-Uwani LGA

Members of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area Traditional Rulers’ Council have unanimously agreed to put all hands on deck in order to nip insecurity in the bud in the council area.

Rising from an inaugural meeting of the Council at Obu Nsukka, in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State on Monday,  the Royal fathers resolved to constitute security committee to raise funds for the support of vigilante groups in the local government area.

The chairman of the  Council, HRH, Igwe Fidelis Eze,  Onyishi Agaba Idu 17th of Abbi Ancient kingdom in his remarks appreciated the royal fathers for their unity of purpose on security issues in the local government.

Equally, the traditional ruler of Igga ancient kingdom, HRH, Igwe Dr. Herbert Nwanosike Ukuta JP, Agbalakata 111of Igga kingdom and 3rd Deputy Chairman,  Enugu state Traditional Rulers’ Council, commended the State Governor, Barr. Peter Mbah, for his giant strides in infrastructure development in the state.

Igwe Ukuta, who is also, the Chairman, Enugu North Zonal Traditional Rulers’ Council, lauded the efforts of  those who contributed to the building of Obu Nsukka, such as HRH, Igwe Barr. RSN Eze, former chairman, Enugu North Zonal Traditional Rulers Council, and HRH, Igwe Osisi Itodo, Patron, (ENTRC) and their team including distinguished Senator Chuka Utazi.

Also in his remarks, HRH, Igwe Vincent Onunze (Agujiegbe ) expressed his dissatisfaction over the ill treatment being meted to the royal fathers in the entire South East by government,  especially the royal fathers of Enugu State by past governments in the state.
