Tinubu will lift 70 million Nigerians out of poverty

An All Progressives Congress, APC, leader and former member of the Presidential Campaign Council, Hon. Obidike Chukwuebuka, has conveyed confidence that President Bola Tinubu GCFR is dedicated to uplifting more than 70 million Nigerians from poverty.

Hon. Obidike emphasized that President Tinubu’s strategy involves a comprehensive approach to address the complex issue of poverty.

He said that the strategy also includes appointing competent and capable individuals as federal Ministers, who are committed to eradicating poverty.

He added that the plan involves boosting the agricultural sector through increased investment, subsidies, and support for farmers, adding that it aims to enhance local food production, generate employment opportunities, and improve food security.

Hon. Obidike highlighted the importance of developing agriculture, as a significant portion of Nigerians rely on it for their livelihood. To achieve this, investing in irrigation infrastructure, modern farming techniques, mechanization, and providing farmers access to credit would be pivotal in increasing productivity and incomes.

Furthermore, President Tinubu is dedicated to improving the quality and accessibility of education. This effort is seen as essential for breaking the poverty cycle. The initiatives include offering student loans, scholarships, and incentives for students from low-income backgrounds, with a focus on vocational and technical education to equip individuals with valuable skills.

Hon. Obidike affirmed that President Tinubu is resolute in creating a conducive business environment, a crucial aspect of reducing poverty. This involves supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, attracting investments, and diversifying the economy to decrease dependence on oil.
