President Bola Tinubu has suspended the National Social Investment Programme Agency’s (NSIPA) operations, including N-Power, Conditional Cash Transfer, Government Enterprise and Empowerment, and Home Grown School Feeding Programmes.
The suspension, disclosed by Segun Imohiosen, the Director of Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, follows an ongoing investigation into alleged mismanagement and malfeasance within the agency.
Tinubu expressed concerns about operational lapses and payment irregularities, prompting the formation of a ministerial panel to thoroughly review NSIPA’s operations and suggest necessary reforms.

The suspension, initially for six weeks, involves freezing all NSIPA-related activities, with an assurance from the President that the government remains committed to a prompt and impartial process ensuring the effectiveness of social intervention programmmes for the benefit of vulnerable Nigerians.
