President Tinubu has endorsed the appointment of Engr. Bisoye Coker-Odusote as the Acting Director-General/CEO of NIMC for the initial 90-day period, starting from August 24, 2023.
Following this transitional period, Engr. Coker-Odusote will undertake a full four-year term as the substantive NIMC Director-General/CEO, commencing on November 24, 2023.
In a parallel development, President Tinubu has sanctioned the appointment of Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub as the new Director/CEO of the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC).
This appointment comes in the wake of the expiration of the tenure of Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi, the former DTAC Director/CEO. The appointment of Hon. Buba Yakub is effective immediately.
These leadership changes underscore President Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring effective and capable leadership in critical government agencies.
The transition at NIMC reflects a seamless approach, with Engr. Coker-Odusote poised to take over the reins of leadership from Engr. Aziz after the interim period.
Similarly, the appointment of Hon. Buba Yakub to head DTAC signals a continuation of the agency’s important work in providing technical aid and expertise to various countries. President Tinubu’s appointments reflect his dedication to maintaining capable leadership and advancing key initiatives that contribute to national and international development.
