Tinubu Issues Warning: Ministers to be Held Responsible for Promised Nigerian Standards

President Bola Tinubu, on Monday, said that the newly sworn-in ministers who have received their portfolios would be held responsible for the good governance and standards which was promised to Nigerians.

Addressing the newly sworn-in ministers at the Conference Centre of the State House in Abuja, he emphasized his expectation for accountability and transformation as they embark on their roles.

He made it clear that the standards set for the ministers are aligned with the promises made to Nigerians.

Tinubu’s address carried the weight of public expectations as he urged the ministers to demonstrate integrity, deliver on their assignments, and act transparently.

He emphasized that the Nigerian population eagerly anticipates delivery, accountability, and transparency from the ministers, and he is resolute in holding them to the standards that were collectively promised.

The President underscored the significance of the task at hand, reminding the ministers that their selection comes with a tremendous responsibility.

As the country stands at a crossroads of promise and challenge, Tinubu called on the ministers to distinguish themselves through their actions and contributions. Earlier, 45 ministers were sworn into the cabinet, including notable figures such as Nyesom Wike, who assumed the position of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and Festus Keyamo, who took on the role of Minister of Aviation. The list also included individuals responsible for key portfolios, such as Finance, Transportation, Works, Aviation and Aerospace Development, and Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
