Enugu State Governor Dr. Peter Mbah announces N80,000 minimum wage for all state workers

Supreme Court Affirms Peter Mbah’s Election as Enugu State Governor

In a significant ruling on Friday, the Supreme Court upheld the election of Peter Mbah as the governor of Enugu State, Nigeria.

The apex court decisively settled all issues in favour of Governor Peter Mbah, the first respondent in the case.

A five-member panel, headed by Justice Mohammed Garba, delivered the verdict, emphasizing the failure of the Labour Party and its candidate, Chijioke Edeoga, to substantiate allegations of substantial non-compliance with electoral laws.

The court further dismissed claims of NYSC certificate forgery, a pivotal point raised by the Labour Party’s governorship candidate in an attempt to disqualify Governor Peter Mbah.

This ruling brings closure to a contested election and solidifies Governor Mbah’s position, affirming his victory in the Enugu State gubernatorial race. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
