Senate President Unveils Committee Chairmen for 10th Senate

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has officially revealed the chairmen of the 74 full-standing committees of the 10th Senate.

After hours of closed-door sessions, the Senate committees were announced on Monday, showcasing a blend of experienced politicians and seasoned leaders taking the helm of various critical committees.

Some notable names were included in the list of committee chairmen, with former political heavyweights assuming leadership roles in key committees. Aminu Tambuwal heads the Housing and Urban Development committee, while Adams Oshiomhole takes charge of the Interior committee. Ahmed Lawan chairs the Defence committee, Abdulaziz Yari leads the Water Resources committee, and Gbenga Daniels heads the Navy committee.
