President Bola Tinubu is set to embark on a journey to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 10, 2023, to participate in the inaugural Saudi-Africa Summit. The announcement was made by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, via a statement issued on Wednesday.
The Saudi-Africa Summit intends to develop ties between Saudi Arabia and African countries by encouraging collaboration in a variety of fields such as economics, politics, and security. During the conference, President Tinubu is likely to stress Nigeria’s commitment to attracting more Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and developing commercial ties.
The statement emphasized that these objectives are consistent with the President’s administration’s ongoing domestic economic reforms. The emphasis of Nigeria on encouraging cross-sectoral investment collaboration, improving political coordination, addressing regional security concerns, and supporting economic transformation would be at the center of summit deliberations.
