The Nigeria Police Force has indicated that the widely circulated social media phrase for the New Year 2024, “No Gree For Anybody,” which loosely conveys a refusal to agree with anyone, was intentionally designed to incite chaos in the nation.
Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), explained that, based on intelligence, the Police received information from an unidentified source suggesting that the slogan aims to foment a revolution in the country.
Adejobi cautioned that freedom is not absolute, emphasizing the need for people to exercise caution in following illegal trends. He asserted that freedom ends when a crime is committed, highlighting that the “No gree for anybody” concept would not hold when individuals are lawfully arrested for criminal activities by law enforcement agents.
