Police Officer Caught on Camera Shooting in Ladipo Market Faces Disciplinary Action

The Lagos State Police Command has identified Inspector Istifanus Kwanchi, a serving officer in a Lagos squadron of the Mobile Police (MOPOL), as the person captured in a viral video shooting an AK47 rifle in Ladipo Market.

Following the revelation, the Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa, has ordered the immediate commencement of disciplinary proceedings against Inspector Kwanchi.

The officer’s actions were described as unprofessional, unethical, and dangerous. The Lagos State Police Command is determined to ensure that its officers and personnel adhere to high standards of conduct, and any deviant behavior will not be tolerated.
