The scholarship is part of the larger Nordic collaborative project, BlueBioClimate, funded by the EU Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak Programme and the Danish Rod and Net License Funds. The project aims to understand how climate change affects aquatic conservation and resource management. The successful candidate will focus on fish ecology and biology, particularly on movements and migrations of highly migratory species like salmonids and tunas.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- You will assess the mechanisms determining the distribution of animals through time and space in productive marine and freshwater regions.
- Analyze and publish telemetry data sets and combine them with physiological measurements from the animals.
- Contribute to teaching at the Aquatic Science & Technology Masters program and supervise Bachelor and Master students.
- Have a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biology, Aquatic Science & Technology, or a related field.
- Preferably have a background in ecology and experience with telemetry, migration ecology, and physiology.
- Possess a keen interest in marine and aquatic sciences.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
