About the Position:
The PhD position is a full-time, three-year position, with required coursework of 30 ECTS credits (equivalent to one semester) and the rest dedicated to developing an independent research project in the form of a dissertation. The successful candidate is expected to live and work in the Oslo region and actively engage in academic and social activities at Kristiania.
About the Project:
This PhD project is linked to the research project “Project Management Practices in the Creative Industries: Lessons on Autonomy and Value Creation.” The larger project focuses on exploring under-researched project management practices within the creative industries that foster individual creativity and autonomy, ultimately enhancing value creation in projects.
The successful candidate must create an independent project that aligns with the theme and research questions of the main project. The project’s objective is to answer questions about how project management practices in the creative industries facilitate creativity through autonomy, and how autonomy contributes to project value creation.
Qualifications and Personal Qualities:
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (ECTS or equivalent) in organization, leadership, or business studies with a grade B or better on the master’s thesis and for the master’s degree in total.
- Relevant 180 ECTS bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Advanced knowledge of the creative industries.
- Experience with and advanced knowledge of comparative case study methods.
