A PhD fellowship in biostatistics is available from the Department of Public Health at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. The fellowship will concentrate on developing methods for nonparametric inference about diverse causal effects. This fellowship is anticipated to begin on March 1, 2024, or as soon as practicable after that date. With a focus on observational and experimental data, partially recognized effects, and survival analysis, the chosen applicant will be in charge of creating and implementing statistical approaches for causal inference.
Project Description:
Applicants who are highly qualified and driven are encouraged to apply for this PhD scholarship. The main focus of the study will be on causal inference for partially identifiable effects and survival endpoints. This will include researching survival estimands, deriving bounds for survival endpoints, estimating symbolic bounds efficiently, and dealing with partially identified estimands for treatment optimization. For the research, a firm understanding of linear optimization and counting process theory will be beneficial.
