Governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have advised President Bola Tinubu to refrain from engaging in any military action against Niger Republic following the recent military coup in the neighboring country.
The advice was part of the resolutions reached during a meeting of the PDP Governors Forum, where the party’s Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and other stakeholders were present.
In a communique read by the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, the governors emphasized the significance of using diplomatic and dialogue channels to address the political crisis in Niger Republic.

The meeting also addressed internal party discipline, reiterating the PDP’s stance on zero tolerance for anti-party activities and sabotage.
The leaders vowed not to tolerate any actions that could undermine the unity of the party and its processes. They expressed their commitment to strengthening and stabilizing the PDP while expressing satisfaction with the ongoing healing and reconciliation process within the party.
