Omeruo to captain Super Eagles against Guinea Bissau

Kasimpasa defender, Kenneth Omeruo, is set to captain the Super Eagles in their match against Guinea-Bissau, marking Nigeria’s 100th game at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Omeruo will step in for the injured William Troost-Ekong in the starting line-up for the historic encounter.

The 30-year-old, who was an unused substitute in Nigeria’s initial game against Equatorial Guinea, played a crucial role as a substitute in the 1-0 victory against Cote d’Ivoire. With 100 appearances for Nigeria, Omeruo brings experience and leadership to the team as they aim for success in this milestone AFCON match against Guinea-Bissau.
