Princess Oluchukwu Owowoh has etched her name in the annals of Nigerian military history by becoming the first Nigerian female officer to graduate from the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) in the United Kingdom. The 24-year-old joined 134 other officer cadets in a historic graduation ceremony during RMAS’ sovereign’s parade in London.

Owowoh’s journey to this remarkable achievement began in 2018 at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna. Over the years, she demonstrated unwavering dedication and commitment, steadily climbing the ranks. By her fifth year, Owowoh had risen to the position of cadet sergeant and achieved the esteemed position of company senior under officer Charlie (CSUO C). Notably, she, alongside two female counterparts, made history as the first females to hold the CSUO position in the academy’s illustrious history.
Academically, Owowoh distinguished herself during her fourth year, earning first-class honors in biological sciences. Her academic prowess, coupled with her leadership skills, exemplifies her exceptional capabilities and commitment to excellence.
