A female soldier, serving in Lagos State, took to social media, sharing a video in which she raised alarm over alleged oppression and threats to her life by senior army officers. The officers identified as Col. IB Abdulkareem, Col. GS Ogor, and Brig. Gen. IB Solebo allegedly harassed her after she rejected their sexual advances.
The soldier claims to have faced unwarranted actions, including being locked up, ejected from her apartment, and even confined to a psychiatric hospital without medication. She further alleges freezing of her account since February 2023 without any salary, blaming Col. Abdulkareem for multiple attempts at rape.
