In a courageous stand-off against suspected Boko Haram insurgents, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) successfully defended its facility in Geidam, Yobe State, with the timely intervention of the Nigerian Army.
The attack on the Customs Office was thwarted, safeguarding both the facility and the lives of the officers and their families. Tragically, during this operation, Assistant Superintendent of Customs II Ahmed Usman lost his life.
He was born on April 2, 1983, and had been a dedicated member of the NCS since February 24, 2009. His sacrifice is mourned by his family, including his grieving wife and five children.
