On Sunday, the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, emphasized that her husband, President Bola Tinubu, should not be seen as a magician.
She made these remarks during an interdenominational church service held in Abuja to commemorate Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Anniversary, themed “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Addressing the congregation, she acknowledged the challenges faced by the nation, stating, “All we inherited are things that had happened many years ago; we are not here to put blame on any administration but to fix what has been damaged. My husband is not a magician; he is committed to working towards a peaceful Nigeria, and I believe and hope that better days lie ahead.”

Mrs. Tinubu stressed the importance of good governance and encouraged Nigerians to exemplify the virtues of Jesus Christ, including love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, and forgiveness.
She expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, stating, “A Nigeria of abundance has begun, and to be part of the greatness that God has started in the nation, Nigerians must look beyond their current realities and embrace hope anew.”
