Minister Unveils Plan for National Theme Song, Creative Industry Enhancement

Barr. Hannatu Musa Musawa (Esq.), the Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy in Nigeria, has officially assumed office as the first female minister to hold this portfolio.

She was warmly welcomed by the Permanent Secretary, Directors, Senior Officers, and Ministry staff with resounding applause.

Expressing her gratitude for the reception, Minister Musa Musawa extended special appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for entrusting her with this significant role. She committed to dedicating her best efforts to the rebranding of Nigeria’s image on the global stage.

Musa-Musawa emphasized the need for a positive transformation of Nigeria’s image, highlighting that the country should no longer be associated with negative elements such as poverty, fraud, terrorism, and criminal activities.

The Minister underlined the collective responsibility of all well-meaning Nigerians in contributing to the positive repositioning of the nation’s image beyond its borders.

Among her immediate plans, Minister Musa-Musawa announced the initiative to create a “National Team Song for the Nigerian Brand.” She urged songwriters and music artists from all six geopolitical zones of the country to channel their creativity in this direction.

Recognizing the maturity of Nigeria’s Arts, Culture, and Creative Industry, the Minister stressed the importance of projecting this sector in a new exportable dimension to boost foreign earnings. She assured Nigerians that innovative and inspiring concepts would be introduced to drive and support this sector in the forthcoming weeks.

Assuring proactive measures, Minister Musa-Musawa highlighted that all necessary plans and mechanisms would be swiftly activated. Relevant stakeholders from both the public and private sectors will be actively engaged to ensure the successful execution of this visionary project.
