In a bold assertion of the moral standards upheld at Madonna University, Nigeria, the founder, Rev Fr Emmanual Edeh, has claimed that female students who enter the institution as virgins also graduate as virgins due to the high moral discipline instilled in them.
Speaking in a video posted by Channels Television on Wednesday, Rev Fr Emmanual Edeh, who also serves as a professor, praised Madonna University for its unwavering commitment to moral values and discipline in the academic realm.
Edeh boasted that Madonna University has earned a reputation for maintaining strict moral codes, to the extent that individuals from abroad seeking virgins to marry specifically come to the university because they know they can find them there.

“It is only in this university that is clearly maintained that girls who have entered the university as virgins graduate as virgins. You can enter our university as virgins and graduate as virgins,” Edeh asserted proudly.
He challenged anyone to name another university worldwide that could uphold such a standard, emphasizing the unique position Madonna University holds in this regard.
Highlighting the stringent policies in place to maintain discipline and academic integrity, Edeh mentioned that students failing to meet the 85 percent attendance requirement are barred from sitting for examinations. Similarly, lecturers failing to achieve 100 percent attendance face sanctions.
Furthermore, Madonna University enforces a policy of 100 percent residency for all students, prohibiting them from living off-campus to ensure effective monitoring, guidance, and counseling.
Despite the diverse backgrounds of its student body, Edeh affirmed that Madonna University does not discriminate in its admission procedures, adhering to Catholic principles while maintaining high moral and disciplinary standards.
He underscored the institution’s zero-tolerance policy towards vices such as cultism, molestation, examination malpractice, bullying, and substance abuse, emphasizing its commitment to fostering an environment conducive to learning and character development.
Founded in 1999, Madonna University operates across three campuses located in Okija, Anambra State; Elele, Rivers State; and Akpugo, Enugu State, embodying its mission to provide quality education within a framework of moral and ethical values.
