Labour Party Campaign Director in Uturu, Abia State, Maduka Zachary, known as “Power Zac,” was tragically beheaded in a horrific incident.
Mr. Zachary also held the role of Campaign Director for Hon. Amobi Ogah, representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
The gruesome event unfolded as Mr. Zachary was socializing with friends and associates at a local gathering spot in Akpukpa, Uturu, Isuikwuato.

Approximately 10 unidentified assailants arrived and initiated gunfire, causing panic among the attendees.
Attempting to evade the attackers, Mr. Zachary fled but was pursued by the group. Tragically, they caught up with him, decapitating him and absconding with his severed head.
While the Police Public Relations Officer, Moureen Chinaka, was yet to receive official information about the incident, Ceekay Igara, the Chairman of the Labour Party in Abia State, confirmed the tragic event. He suggested a possible connection between the crime and Mr. Zachary’s active involvement in combating insecurity and cultism in the region.
This unsettling incident occurred on a Tuesday night, adding to the growing concerns of insecurity in the Uturu, Okigwe/Umunneochi/Isiagu axis, spanning three states. The area has witnessed an alarming rise in banditry, leading to increased kidnapping incidents, even along the Enugu Port Harcourt Expressway.
