Lagos Police Arrest Two Suspects Over Alleged Robbery of Skit Maker, Philo

The arrest of Sunday Osagie and Ayodele Adeolu by the Lagos State Police Command on suspicion of robbing skit creator Ekwutousi Philo is a noteworthy event.

Alongside Osagie, 45-year-old Ayodele Adeolu was also taken into custody by the police. Law enforcement officials found a Toyota Yaris Verso with registration number FST 656 JD and a “korope” with registration number LA 910 FST during their investigation.

It was discovered that Sunday Osagie worked as a mechanic and spy for the Lagos State Government in May 2011. However, for reasons that included “absence from duty for six months without permission, illegal duties, and extortion of money from innocent citizens,” he was de-kitted and faced termination from the Lagos State Public Service in April 2023. The Personnel Management Board (PMB) conducted an inquiry that led to the taking of this action.
