Revealed during a thorough review of Nigeria Immigration Service facilities in Abuja on January 8, 2024, the automated program aims to provide applicants with a seamless and secure experience while minimizing human interaction in the application process.
During the inspection, conducted alongside the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Wura-Ola Adepoju, Tunji-Ojo highlighted the imminent implementation of the automated system. “We’re ready to go live. “This initiative seeks to significantly reduce human intervention in the passport acquisition process,” he reaffirmed, stressing the pivotal role of the new system in fortifying the country’s security architecture while enhancing comfort and convenience for Nigerian residents.
The Minister further elaborated on the Nigeria Immigration Service’s extensive deployment of document verification personnel across all local government areas.
