Indian Baby Girl Born with 14 Fingers, 12 Toes

In a rare and remarkable occurrence at a hospital in Rajasthan, Northwestern India, a baby girl entered the world with an extraordinary genetic anomaly – she possesses 14 fingers and 12 toes.

This unique condition means that the baby has seven fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot, setting her apart from the norm.

While this genetic peculiarity has been described by medical experts as an anomaly, the family of the newborn has greeted the situation with delight. In a public declaration, they have even gone as far as to liken the baby girl to a reincarnation of Dholagarh Devi, a locally revered deity whose temple is located near the birthplace of the child.

Dr. BS Soni, a medical professional at the hospital where the baby was delivered, provided assurance regarding the baby’s health, stating, “There is no harm of any kind in having 26 fingers, but it is a genetic anomaly. The girl is otherwise absolutely healthy.”

The family has not yet disclosed whether they plan to pursue surgical options to reduce the number of digits on each of the baby’s limbs. This unusual birth has captivated the local community and drawn attention to the mysteries of genetics and human development.
