The suspension of Mr. Victor Diala was enacted based on the YPP’s constitution, which cites gross misconduct and abuse of office as grounds for suspension. Kingsley Nwahiri will serve as interim chairman until the investigation concludes. This change in leadership was also influenced by the unavailability of the Deputy Chairman, Mr. Louise Ugochukwu, due to health reasons.
The NWC has further ordered the immediate reinstatement of Bernard Uzoeto as the Orsu Local Government YPP Chairman, as his previous suspension was deemed unlawful and contrary to the party’s constitution.
The YPP’s National Working Committee commended the recent court judgments affirming the victory of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and other party members in election petitions. The party reiterated its commitment to holding elected members accountable for delivering on their electoral promises to the people.
