In an unexpected turn of events, the Nigeria Super Eagles duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi are set to remain at Leicester City as the team embarks on its Championship campaign this Sunday.
Despite Leicester’s relegation following a 2-1 victory over West Ham in the 2022-23 EPL season finale, both players are listed as part of the men’s team for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
As the new English Championship season kicks off, Nigerian players have been making moves in the summer transfer market. Samuel Chukwuezde has joined AC Milan, Calvin Bassey moved to Fulham from Ajax, Ola Aina joined Nottingham Forest, and Victor Boniface signed with Bayer Leverkusen.
