The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Barde, has been redeployed by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, due to allegations of partisanship.
This decision was announced by Egbetokun during a Channels Television programme last night.
He clarified that the change in leadership is not an admission of guilt by the Commissioner but is aimed at ensuring neutrality ahead of the upcoming elections.
