The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun has ordered the posting and redeployment of seven Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs) to various departments.
These changes come after the Police Service Commission promoted these senior officers to the rank of DIGs.
Here are the new postings and redeployments:

- DIG Bala Ciroma has been redeployed to head the Department of Finance and Administration.
- DIG Frank Emeka Mba will lead the Department of Training and Development.
- DIG Habu A. Sani takes charge of the Force Intelligence Bureau.
- DIG Usman D. Nagogo assumes responsibility for the Department of Logistics and Supply.
- DIG Daniel Sokari-Pedro will oversee the Department of Information and Communication Technology.
- DIG Ibrahim Sani Ka’oje is assigned to the Department of Research and Planning.
- DIG Ede Ayuba Ekpeji heads the Department of Operations.
In addition to these changes, several Assistant Inspector Generals (AIGs) were also posted to various positions:
- AIG Oladimeji Yomi Olanrewaju is appointed as the Force Secretary.
- AIG Yekini Adio Ayoku will head the Police Mobile Force.
- AIG Idris Dabban Dauda is posted to Zone 16 Yenagoa.
- AIG Oyediran Adesoye Oyeyemi will lead the Police Cooperative.
- AIG Benjamin Okolo Nebeolisa is assigned to the Department of ICT.
The IGP charged the newly posted and redeployed senior officers to uphold professionalism in their respective departments, commands, and formations while prioritizing human security and people-centric policing services.
These changes in leadership aim to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Nigerian Police Force across its various departments and units.
