The State Secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu was abuzz with activity on Thursday as prominent political figures, including two members of the House of Representatives and a member of the Enugu State House of Assembly, formally returned to the PDP from Labour Party.
Among those who rejoined the PDP is Rt. Hon. Dennis Nnamdi Agbo, the distinguished representative of Igbo-Eze North/Udenu Federal Constituency in the National Assembly. He was warmly welcomed by the Executive Chairman of Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, Hon. Michael Uche Ogalla, who was present at the State Secretariat to receive him back into the PDP fold.
In his remarks, Rt. Hon. Agbo explained the rationale behind his return:
“Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is making Ndi Enugu proud with his numerous achievements in just two years. He is the reason for what is happening in the PDP in Enugu State. I appreciate the people of Enugu, particularly my Constituency, for believing in us.
Labour Party is gone in Enugu North Senatorial Zone. The three of us in the House of Representatives from Enugu North are now united in the PDP, and we will work closely with His Excellency, the Governor. Opposition has become increasingly difficult in Enugu State due to Governor Mbah’s exceptional performance”.
This renewed wave of political reintegration into the PDP underscores the far-reaching impact of Governor Mbah’s transformative leadership across Enugu State. His governance, described as disruptive and innovative, continues to inspire political stability and unity.
At the grassroot level, Hon. Michael Uche Ogalla mirrors this visionary leadership through his progressive and inclusive administration in Igbo-Eze North. His commitment to good governance further strengthens the PDP’s foothold in Igbo-Eze North.
With this defection, along with that of Hon. Emeka Mamah and Barr. Onuora Odo on April 29th, Igbo-Eze North LGA is now entirely PDP, and for Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
Indeed, Tomorrow is HERE and the People’s Democratic Party in Enugu State continues to grow stronger.
