Gov. Uzodinma Promises to Relocate 4,000 Imo Youths to Europe , Canada

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has made a bold promise to assist at least 4,000 interested indigenes of Imo State in relocating to Europe and Canada by the end of December this year (Video).

He unveiled this pledge during a campaign event as part of his vote mobilization tour in anticipation of the November 11 governorship election in the South Eastern State of Nigeria.

Addressing an enthusiastic crowd, predominantly young Imo residents, Governor Uzodinma committed to aiding Imo indigenes who desire to move to Europe or Canada by equipping them with the necessary employable skills that would facilitate their integration into life abroad.

He announced, “Let me tell you something: I have gone further to negotiate with the European Union companies and the Canadian companies. They are sending us areas of visible skills which our youth will also learn.” The governor then stirred the crowd to euphoria by declaring, “By December this year, 4,000 Imo youths will be employed in Europe.”

Governor Uzodinma’s promises did not stop there. He pledged to cover the cost of transportation to the chosen country for relocation once the individuals receive their employment offers. He said, “Once that letter comes, the governor will pay for your air ticket.”

The governor’s bold commitments have generated significant attention on X (formerly Twitter), with a range of responses from the public. While some have criticized the governor’s actions, accusing him of desperation to hold onto power, others are expressing disbelief and shock at the promise.
