Google appoints Alex Okosi, as MD

Google has announced that Alex Okosi, currently the Managing Director for YouTube in EMEA Emerging Markets, will now take on the role of Managing Director for Google in Africa.

In his new position, Okosi will be responsible for overseeing Google‘s operations across Africa, including initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth on the continent and improving internet accessibility for the next billion users.

Meir Brand, Vice President of EMEA Emerging Markets at Google, praised Okosi, stating, “Alex is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in the media and technology sectors. He possesses a deep understanding of African nations and a strong commitment to using technology to empower individuals and businesses.”
