Galatasaray secured a 3-1 victory over rivals Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super Lig on Wednesday, with Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen providing a crucial assist.
Osimhen, on loan from Napoli, impressed in his second match for Galatasaray. In the 28th minute, he set up Dries Mertens, his former Napoli teammate, with a pinpoint cross that Mertens chested down and finished to double their lead.
Galatasaray had taken the lead in the 20th minute after an own goal from Fenerbahce’s Dominik Livakovic. Gabriel Sara added a third goal on the hour mark, while Edin Dzeko scored a consolation penalty for Fenerbahce.
