British heavyweight Fabio Wardley has signed a new multi-fight promotional deal with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions, just ahead of his highly anticipated rematch against Frazer Clarke. Wardley, who holds a 17-0-1 record, will defend his British heavyweight title on October 12 in Saudi Arabia, on the undercard of the Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol bout. Their first fight ended in a split-decision draw.
Wardley expressed excitement about joining Warren’s team, highlighting the potential for big fights and shows in the future. Warren praised Wardley’s performances and believes he has the potential to challenge top 10 heavyweights after this pivotal rematch. Wardley’s manager, Michael Ofo, added that they look forward to many “massive nights” with Queensberry. Wardley is also the Commonwealth, WBO European, and WBA Continental heavyweight champion.
