Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUT, has began the process of rebranding her Institute for Peace, Conflict and Development Studies, IPCDS.

Other ESUT institutes which would be rebranded include Institute for Continuing Studies, ICS, and Institute of Education.

While receiving the report of the committee which was set up to review the programme framework of IPCDS and other related institutes in the University, the Vice Chancellor of ESUT, Professor Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, called for the review of the programmes of the institutes to make them relevant in the contemporary academic society.

Professor Okolie who said that the institutes needed to be put in place to shore up the shrinking resources accruing to the University, commended the committee for a thorough assignment, which he said was accomplished within the timeframe given to the members.

The committee equally recommended introduction of more attractive programmes to compete favourably with similar institutes among other recommendations.
