Enugu State Government has taken a firm stance against criminal activities by prohibiting the unauthorized utilization of tinted glasses on vehicles within the state.
This prohibition will be enacted four weeks from the issuance of this announcement, and enforcement will commence on Monday, September 4, 2023.
According to a statement issued on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Chidiebere Onyia, Vehicle owners with tinted glass, who lacked a Police Tinted Permit issued prior to the suspension by the Nigeria Police Force on June 7, 2021, are granted ample time to either remove or replace the tinted glass, provided they comply with legal regulations.

The statement further said that vehicles found in violation will be impounded by the enforcement taskforce. The release of impounded vehicles to their owners is contingent upon the removal or replacement of the tinted glass and payment of the designated fines.
The statement also said that the prohibition was primarily designed to curb criminal activities and enhance the safety and security of Enugu State residents.
