The traditional ruler of Ogurugu community in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, Igwe Emmanuel Egwuaba, and members of his community, yesterday, committed to backing and contributing land for a forthcoming naval base in the area.
During a recent visit by a government committee led by the Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, and Rear Admiral Chijioke Onyemaobi, of the Nigerian Navy, the community expressed their enthusiasm for the initiative.
Igwe Egwuaba conveyed the community’s gratitude for the intervention and highlighted the potential economic benefits of the base, including increased investment and essential amenities.
