Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, affirmed his administration’s commitment to realizing the aspirations of the state’s pioneers through innovative and transformative governance.
The governor’s statement as released by his Senior Special Assistant on Mainstream Media, Dan Nwomeh, coincided with the 32nd anniversary of Enugu State’s establishment.

However, he underlined his government’s objective to move beyond preserving these dreams, aiming to bring them to life through innovative and disruptive governance strategies.
“I commend the determination and sacrifices of our pioneers and all who contributed to the arduous journey of attaining our own state. We will honour their sacrifices by creating a state that reflects their ideals and serves as a benchmark for socioeconomic progress in the nation.
“During the past 32 years, we’ve witnessed commendable progress in upholding the dreams of our pioneers. Nevertheless, our administration is departing from the incremental approach due to the rapidly evolving global landscape driven by technology and innovative methods.
“We’ve initiated this shift by establishing a new foundation that challenges conventional governance practices. We’ve embarked on a distinct path because we envision a state that future generations will view positively—a state free from poverty and strife.
“We acknowledge the challenges ahead, but with your support and our unwavering commitment to our governance philosophy, we anticipate achieving our goals faster than anticipated.
“We are resolute in elevating our economy from its current $4.4 billion to N30 billion, and the groundwork for this transformative economic revolution is being laid.
“We’ve taken definitive measures in security and translated them into action to attract investments. We will persevere until all threats to our people’s peace and security are eradicated from our state,” the statement excerpted.
The governor extended his well-wishes to the people of Enugu State on its 32nd anniversary.
