Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has confirmed that he plans to spend N5 billion on refurbishing the Governor’s Office in Calabar to bring it up to the desired standard.
He also mentioned plans to renovate the state’s liaison offices in Abuja, Lagos, and other locations to match the same standard.
Governor Otu emphasized the importance of having a befitting Governor’s Office, stating that it should serve as a signpost for the state. He believes that a well-maintained office can help attract investors to do business with the state.

He assured that the renovations would be carried out transparently and that contractors are currently working pro bono. The estimated cost of the renovations is between N3 billion to N5 billion.
