The Enugu State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has rejected Chris Agu’s petition against Peter Mbah, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Agu had accused Mbah of forging his NYSC certificate, being unqualified to contest, and engaging in corruption. However, the tribunal, led by Justice Kudirat Murayo Akano, ruled that Agu failed to substantiate any of these allegations.
According to the tribunal, there was no proof that Mbah lacked the necessary qualifications for the election, and Agu couldn’t produce the original or forged NYSC certificate as evidence.

Additionally, the corruption claim lacked supporting evidence. The tribunal also affirmed that Mbah won the majority of votes, highlighting the inability of the petitioner’s witnesses to specify polling units with unheld elections or their results.
