Cleric Lauds Igbo-Eze North Council Boss on Roads Rehabilitation

A Catholic cleric, Very Rev. Fr. Patrick Ejin, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, commended the Chairman of Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, Hon. Michael Uchenna Ogalla, for his aggressive roads rehabilitation across the 35 communities in the council area.

Rev. Ejin, who is a native of Aji community in the council area, but serving at the Maiduguri Catholic Diocese, stated that he couldn’t believe the level of roads development in the local government, especially, in this period of economic crunch.

Fr. Ejin, who is on holiday  from his Maiduguri Diocese , paid a courtesy call on Hon Ogalla in company of elder Sylvester Oodo, also from Aji, stating that he came to appreciate the Council Chairman for the unprecedented road infrastructure rehabilitation in his Essodo Ward 1.

“I couldn’t believe the general enhancement on our roads was possible. My people told me the Council Chairman did it, not only in Aji, but also throughout the 35 communities in Igbo-Eze North LGA.

“So, I came to know the Chairman, commend him, and pray for him. I have never seen a Chairman like this in the history of Igbo-Eze North,” he said.

Fr. Patrick was proud that his godson is changing the narrative of governance in his lifetime.  He blessed the Chairman and prayed for more dedicated Christians in the politics of the local government.

Fr Ejin who is the Igbo-Eze North Local Government’s second most senior indigenous Catholic Priest  visited the local government Secretariat last in 1996, about 29 years.
