Chelsea’s Sterling Shines in 4-1 Victory Over Burnley

Raheem Sterling delivered a standout performance and proved his worth by inspiring Chelsea to a commanding 4-1 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor.

The winger, who was notably excluded from England’s upcoming matches, showcased his class with a hand in three of Chelsea’s goals.

The match got off to an unexpected start as French teenager Wilson Odobert, making his first Premier League start for Burnley, shocked Chelsea by scoring a goal in the 15th minute to give the home team an early lead.

However, Chelsea responded in the 42nd minute when Ameen Al-Dakhil inadvertently deflected Sterling’s cross into the net, resulting in an own goal that leveled the score.

The Blues took control of the game just five minutes into the second half when Sterling was fouled by Vitinho, earning a penalty. Cole Palmer, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City in August, confidently converted the spot-kick, marking his first goal for the club.

Sterling continued to steal the spotlight, capping his virtuoso performance in the 65th minute with a clinical finish from Conor Gallagher’s pass. Chelsea’s dominance was further solidified when Nicolas Jackson found the back of the net in the 75th minute, securing their fourth goal of the match.

This victory marked Chelsea’s third consecutive win in all competitions, underlining their formidable form under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
