The Commander Training and Doctrine Command, Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA), Major General Kevin Aligbe, has issued a stern warning against examination malpractices during the ongoing Captain to Major Practical Promotion Examination (CMPPE).
The examination is currently taking place in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Major General Aligbe emphasized the Nigerian Army’s zero-tolerance stance on examination malpractices. He cautioned candidates to avoid any unethical examination practices, as the consequences for such offenses would result in severe sanctions.

The Commander of TRADOC NA reminded the candidates that this examination serves as a crucial qualifying requirement for their enrollment into the Junior Staff Course at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) in Jaji, Nigeria, as well as related institutions abroad. He highlighted that the examination also serves to test their proficiency and develop their leadership abilities for higher responsibilities within the Nigerian Army.
The examination aligns with the Command Philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, which aims to “Transform the Nigerian Army into a well-trained, equipped, and highly motivated force capable of fulfilling its constitutional responsibilities in a joint environment.”
General Aligbe assured candidates that the examination would be conducted fairly and transparently by the panelists and directing staff. He emphasized the commitment to maintaining integrity throughout the process.
During the event, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Major General MT Usman, encouraged candidates to give their best, maintain decorum, and uphold discipline during the examination. He emphasized that the examination serves as a catalyst in shaping their career progression.
The event was attended by observers from Army Headquarters, Headquarters 81 Division Nigerian Army, Principal Staff Officers from Headquarters TRADOC, Nigerian Army Examination Panelists, and the Directing Staff. The Nigerian Army remains dedicated to upholding the highest standards in its promotion and qualification examinations.
