The victims comprised both primary and secondary school students who had been relocated from a location outside the community to the primary school due to heightened fears of bandit attacks. The assailants, armed and evidently coordinated, swiftly seized control of the school premises.
Tragically, the bandits not only kidnapped the students but also took a teacher, identified as Isa. In the midst of the chaos, they fired shots, injuring one student named Rabilu. Fortunately, Rabilu was rushed to Birnin Gwari hospital and survived the ordeal.
The abductions add to the growing concern over the security situation in parts of Kaduna State, as communities grapple with the persistent threat of banditry. This latest incident underscores the vulnerability of educational institutions, further intensifying the need for urgent and comprehensive security measures to protect students and educators.
As authorities respond to this distressing situation, the fate of the kidnapped students and teacher hangs in the balance, amplifying the urgency for concerted efforts to address the root causes of insecurity in the region. The community, along with concerned citizens, awaits updates on the ongoing efforts to secure the release of the abducted individuals and to prevent such heinous acts from recurring in the future.
