The Anambra State Police command has issued a stern warning to cultists and their supporters operating in the state’s capital city, Awka.

Describing cultists as nothing short of murderers, Adeoye emphasized that they have no place in a decent society and should not coexist with law-abiding citizens.

He also strongly condemned those who provide support and sponsorship to these violent groups, labeling them as cowards who should feel ashamed of their actions.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, echoed the Commissioner’s sentiments, stating that the command will not tolerate the activities of heartless cultists who engage in taking lives. He stressed that any attempts to secure the release of arrested cult members during the impending crackdown will be met with resistance.
Commissioner Adeoye has already initiated a comprehensive operation to address the issue of cultism in the state. He assured the public that the recent disturbances caused by cult-related violence will be brought under control, and peace and tranquility will be restored to the affected areas.
Adeoye called for the collaboration of law-abiding citizens in the effort to eliminate the menace of cultism from society. The police command’s determination to combat this criminal activity demonstrates its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the residents of Anambra State.
