Abia State University has announced its decision to discontinue the issuance of statements of results for all Programmes offered by the university.
The move was part of the institution’s effort to streamline administrative processes and align with global standards. The decision was communicated in a memorandum dated August 1, 2023, signed by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Onyemachi Ogbulu, and released on Tuesday.
In the memorandum, Professor Ogbulu outlined the university’s resolution, which includes the discontinuation of issuing statements of results and determining the validity of those already issued. The change will be effective from December 1, 2023.

This means that all First and Higher Degree Statements of Results that have been previously issued by the university will cease to be valid after this date.
