Abia Governor Establishes Global Economic Advisory Council

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State proudly announced the establishment of the Abia Global Economic Advisory Council (AGEAC). Comprising eminent personalities from diverse fields, this council will serve as a valuable source of advice for the state’s administration on economic matters.

The AGEAC is a pivotal component of the strategic initiative aimed at revitalizing Abia State’s economy. With a vision to rebuild and reposition the state as a regional and global leader in innovation and economic growth, the council will leverage Abia’s abundant resources, entrepreneurial spirit, and strategic location.

This esteemed council, led by Co-Chairs Ms. Arunma Oteh, H.R.H Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II, and Mr. Bolaji Balogun, will offer insights and recommendations on fostering innovation, attracting investments, forming robust partnerships, and enhancing the state’s economic resilience in the face of global economic shifts.

Governor Otti expressed his gratitude to the esteemed members of AGEAC, which includes individuals such as Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Dr. Benedict Oramah serving as Honourary Advisors. The council also features key members from the State Executive Council, ensuring a collaborative approach to achieving Abia State’s economic vision.
