Faleye revealed that he was initially slated to be on the ill-fated chopper but had a last-minute change of plans. According to him, he reconsidered and decided to accompany their luggage by road since the helicopter couldn’t accommodate it.
The decision to transport the luggage by road was prompted by Faleye’s concern for its safe arrival. Remarkably, Wigwe supported the idea, deeming it a brilliant solution to the logistical challenge.

As Faleye embarked on the journey to Vegas by road with the luggage, tragedy struck in the skies above. The helicopter carrying Wigwe, his family, and Ogunbajo met with a fatal accident, leaving Faleye unaware of the unfolding disaster.
While en route to Vegas, Faleye attempted to reach his boss and the others on the helicopter but was met with the haunting silence of unanswered calls. The chilling realization of the tragic events gradually dawned on him, adding a layer of profound sorrow to the already somber occasion.
The poignant narrative underscores the unpredictable nature of life and the fragile threads that bind our destinies. As the Access Bank community and well-wishers mourn the loss of Herbert Wigwe and the others, Faleye’s story serves as a stark reminder of how fate can pivot on the smallest of decisions, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those left behind.
